SIDE B
Flip it
over.
A monthly listening-night identity — a flipped-record B, cobalt and hot pink, and a poster series that gets wheat-pasted all over the neighborhood.

The side nobody
plays first.
The brief
Create an identity for a monthly night where a whole record is played start to finish — an event that needs a poster every month, a ticket, and something people will carry home.
The response
Side B is the deep cut, the one you have to flip over for. The mark is a B drawn as a record turned over; the two inks are the two inks a cheap screen-print shop can do on one night. Every month the poster changes only its date and its record.
A letter that is a record.
The flipped-vinyl B is the whole identity — it works as a stamp, a sticker, a tote, and a four-foot poster.
Two inks, slightly off.
Cobalt and hot pink with deliberate misregistration. It looks hand-pulled because it is designed to be.
Poster first, everything else second.
The night lives on walls. Tickets and merch are the poster cut down, never a separate design.
One mark.
Twelve posters a year.
The B mark and the wordmark are fixed; the date, the record and the overprint density change monthly. Because it is two inks on off-white, a year of posters reads as a single series on the wall.
Flipped-record B mark, condensed wordmark, cobalt + pink, off-white stock, visible misregistration.
Month, date, the record being played, and how much the two inks overlap.
Poster: mark large, date small. Ticket: mark only, perforated. Tote: mark, one color.

Pasted up,
torn down, repeat.
The campaign is the posters on the wall: overlapping, weathering, replaced monthly. A digital placement reuses the hero photograph with the date as the only new information.

What comes next
Before production: vector the B mark, set up two-color separations, and proof the pink on off-white stock under a streetlight.
This is an independent fictional brand study, with no client commission or measured commercial results. Concept marks would need vector refinement and supplier validation before production.
